Forest Fest 2022 Reviews

Camped last year with my 6 year old on a whim, absolutely loved it. Campsite was friendly and safe. Festival site itself was great, plenty for kids to do, gorgeous food, great acts. We were there on our own and made loads of friends. Loved it all, highly recommend.

I went on a day ticket on Saturday last year with 2 of my friends and boy did we have a great time. You see I never attended a music festival before, (I used to be the one taxiing my Kids to and fro from EP but never actually went into it) So it was my turn to enjoy myself! Singing and dancing to the likes of The Stunning, Mundy, Paddy Casey etc. It was a perfect day, we got the bus there and home from Portlaoise, ate and drank at the Fest and we totally enjoyed the day. Needless to say my friends and i would love to go again this year!

Had a fantastic experience last year. Maldron Hotel was great, parking at door, swimming pool for mornings after and a service station right outside with plenty of food options also. Hartleys Shuttle bus service was the making of the whole event, on time, easy to use and drivers in good form, plenty of craic on bus too. The setting with trees as backdrop looked great day and night time. Enough music areas to create interest, and not too big so easy to wander around.

Drink price and range were decent, liked the policy to buy a quality tough plastic pint beer cup once and then reuse. Food options good as well, and site layout made them easy to access. Music lineup was bang on for my tastes, plenty of quality mainstream Irish artists, some young bands getting a chance and a mix of other styles. Booked for this year straightaway when tickets went on sale, which tells a tale itself. Delighted now to see the lineup has built on last year and some of the artists I enjoyed on, enough new acts also like Bellx1 and Suede to keep it fresh.

Fabulously child friendly festival with lots to do with kids. Great line up of music…great event, seemed to run very smoothly on sight and at camp site…I was also very impressed with the cleanliness of toilets and the upkeep of cleaning throughout the festival. I hope to return next year.

” Myself, my dissertation and brother and our little campervan arrived at Forest fest. From the moment we arrived the organization was unreal..there was no room in the camp area ,as I never booked it, but there was a shuttle bus coming ang going from the area maybe every 10 mins. The concert itself was extremely well run. The atmosphere was fabulous, we had a brilliant time. We’re definitely coming back again. “

” Forest Fest 2022 was a great set up.
Convenient to get to, no walking for miles. Great facilities no queues for the toilet, food or bar. A super crowd, young and old enjoying music together. A very relaxed atmosphere and all around an enjoyable experience. Looking forward to 2023! “

” Drove down for the Sunday for waterboys with wife and 2 10 year olds it was fantastic I really regret no going for the full weekend as kids had a ball in-between rain showers the music tents where great 😀 and it was so easy going no pushing or bad behaviour and then to have the acts on during the day to be standing looking at the waterboys at the end beside us can’t give enough praise for this festival we all loved it “

” Really well organised event- security staff were top notch- lots to do n timetable allowed for all to be explored easily.- kids were happy- loved seeing local businesses n groups promoted n prioritised- would love to go again😜👇🤞🤞🤟 “

” Great buzz and local feel, with none of the hassle that larger venues bring. Most of us noted the fair pricing for the food and drink – so thumbs up to all for not going the gouging route.

One recommendation we would make is to try and have a few more locals posted on the car park and camping entrances; people that know the local roads. On the ground knowledge is more appreciated as we all rock up full of the joys.

All in all a lovely mix of current and nostalgia, and all age groups mixed in effortlessly. Keep it up! “

I couldn't tell enough of my friends how wonderful that day was. Trad, Celtic rock, folk, rock, pop and deckchairs were allowed!!!! You know us and we love you for it. Going for two days this year since seeing the lineup! Music, mood and many memories in the midlands. Magic!! Shane, Clonmel, Tipperary

Loved Forest Fest! A wonderful, feel-good, family-friendly atmosphere, lots of accessible food and drink tents, and some amazing acts. I loved being able to move between stages without having to bring sandwiches and a compass 🙂 Fantastic vibe.
